Hire Right. Onboard Right.

The HR Side of Building a Great Dental Team

SYNOPSIS:

You finally found a great candidate. Now what?

In today’s dental job market, finding people is only half the battle. The other half is everything after: the interview questions you can (and can’t) ask, the offer letter that sets expectations, and the first 180 days that decide whether they stay. The practices winning the talent war aren’t just better at recruiting. They’re ready for the people they recruit.

This course follows the employee journey from job posting to fully onboarded team member, showing how the right HR systems make every hire faster, safer, and more likely to stick.

Join us as we explore proven strategies for covering your bases in the world of HR. Learn what works, what doesn’t, and easy ways to improve the crucial people-side of your practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Write job postings that attract the right candidates and set clear expectations from day one
  • Avoid illegal interview questions and emerging pay transparency pitfalls
  • Build an offer and onboarding process that is both compliant and welcoming
  • Use your policy manual as a retention tool, not a binder on a shelf
  • Structure the first 6 months to reduce preventable turnover and launch your new team member toward success

The managerial side of owning and running a successful practice can seem daunting. Yet, the rewards of private practice ownership continue to be outstanding. It’s time to invest in your team and yourself, to take action with wise and prudent HR decisions that will lead to the practice of your dreams. This journey begins with a commitment to learning, understanding, and putting a new HR plan into action.
