Employee Engagement and Appreciation in the Workplace

SYNOPSIS

Is working for you rewarding, fun and fulfilling, in other words “engaging”? Do you put conscious effort into employee engagement, appreciation and recognition that supports long term retention, thus reducing the need to recruit and hire?

It is well documented that individuals in the workplace need to feel appreciated in order to enjoy their job, do their best work, have positive work relationships and stay with their organizations long-term.

What if you didn’t have turnover? Turnover is not the guaranteed, inevitable consequence of having employees. Many practices experience little to no turnover. Many practices only have to go through the hiring process because of growth or someone retiring or relocating.

This session will help you:
  • Retention fundamentals
  • What is meant by employee engagement
  • How to create a more positive work environment
  • The need and importance of appreciation in the workplace
  • Tools for showing appreciation and making it become an organizational habit
  • Best practices, as well as out-of-the-box strategies, for achieving higher employee engagement

Successful practices proactively work to increase employee engagement, providing employees with a sense of purpose and belonging.
